Getting started

  • Yes. Many members join with no experience in crypto or trading at all, and starting fresh has an advantage: there are no bad habits to unlearn. The curriculum runs from basic to intermediate to advanced, and our coaches are live about 15 hours a week, so you can watch decisions being made and ask questions as they happen.

  • It can be. If you already understand support and resistance, profit targets and basic risk management, the value is in structure: one consistent process for entries and exits, live sessions where coaches explain their reasoning as they make decisions, and a community that reviews your decisions with you. On the fit call we look at where you are and tell you straight whether the program adds enough for you.

  • Platforms let you open a position with very little, so there is no hard minimum. What matters is that the capital sits apart from living expenses, emergency savings and debt, so a loss never touches the essentials. Niko's rule of thumb is to start with $1,000 to $2,500 and to risk only a small slice on any one position: if a position can lose at most $100 before the stop loss closes it, that is 1% of a $10,000 account. If you would need money you cannot afford to lose, the program is not a fit yet.

  • Plan on more time during setup and your first weeks. After that, most members spend a few focused hours a week across live sessions, the curriculum and their journal. Live sessions are recorded, so you can catch up on replays.

  • It depends on where you live, because crypto derivatives are not legally available in every country or state. We confirm which platforms you can access in your location during the fit call, before you commit to anything.

  • Yes. We regularly run free live classes where Niko or Chad trades on screen and explains each step: finding support and resistance, going long or short, setting position size, leverage, the stop loss and the profit target. You also learn how the common crypto scams work. The blog, glossary and position size calculator on this site are free too.

  • At the end of a free class we explain how the mastermind works and how to join, for anyone who wants to. There is no obligation. Most of the time goes to live trading on screen, how to set up accounts, and how to avoid the scams that cost people money.

How we invest

  • How to read a chart from the ground up (candlesticks, timeframes, support and resistance), how to take long and short positions, where to place a stop loss and profit targets, how to size a position and choose leverage inside a defined loss boundary, and how to review every decision in a journal. Once the process is in place, you shape your own style around your schedule and temperament.

  • We teach a structured decision process built around risk. Every position starts with a written thesis, a defined loss boundary and a position size worked out from that boundary. Some positions last minutes to a day, others a few days to a couple of weeks. Members learn to position for moves in either direction with defined risk, to check total exposure across the portfolio, and to journal and review every decision, then settle into the timeframe that suits them.

  • Mostly Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP, plus large altcoins that institutions have been buying, such as Chainlink, Aave and Ondo. Chad prefers them because institutional buying tends to follow a pattern, often after sharp corrections that shake out retail traders. We stay away from meme coins: too many pump and dump schemes and rug pulls.

  • Chad's most recent example: after the market rallied hard around the January 2025 inauguration, he bought XRP near its previous all-time high because the chart structure still pointed up. He did not expect the tariff news to correct the market as sharply as it did. The stop loss did its job and the loss stayed defined, but the lesson stuck: risk is set before the entry, because the market can surprise anyone.

  • One thesis, two entries. Chad went long XRP at $3.03 with a stop loss at $2.95 after price bounced from a level where institutions had been buying. Price came back to retest that level first, so the stop closed the position for a small, defined loss. He took the same setup again on the retest, and the second entry worked. Two lessons: no single position should be able to take you out of the market, and a sound thesis with early timing can be re-entered with the same defined risk.

  • No. Leverage is taught as a tool with rules, used inside a defined loss boundary and a sized position. Whether and how you use it is your decision. Leverage carries real risk, including liquidation that can happen quickly.

  • Chad's pick: going long Bitcoin in the $78,000 to $80,000 range during the 2025 drop toward $74,000, when social media was calling the bull run over. He staggered limit orders across that zone and took the same view on Ethereum near $2,500. The point is not the trade itself but the process behind it: build positions at major levels when sentiment is at its worst, with the risk defined before the entry.

Results and risk

  • We do not advertise a win rate. On its own, a win rate says little: the size of wins against losses matters as much as how often you are right. Chad does not take a position unless the potential reward is at least three times the risk, and nobody wins every position, which is why every position starts with a defined loss boundary. Members track their own numbers, such as win rate and whether they followed the plan, and bring them to live sessions for review.

  • Nobody can promise you results, and we do not present member stories as typical. Outcomes depend on things only you control: how quickly you learn, your discipline with risk, how coachable you are, the capital you start with and how carefully you manage it. What we provide is the process, the education and the mentorship. Losses are part of trading, and the program teaches you to keep them defined and small relative to your capital.

Trust and verification

  • Research us before you trust us. Crypto Renegades is run by its two named founders, Niko Mercuris and Chad Wittfeldt, from a business address in Tarpon Springs, Florida, with public reviews on Google and Trustpilot. Look up the founders, read the reviews where they were written, and use our verification page to confirm official channels. Part of what we teach is how the common crypto scams work, because scammers target people looking for an easy button, and there is none.

  • We teach by showing. Coaches trade live for about 15 hours a week and explain each decision while they make it, and you can ask questions in the moment. Between sessions there is a step-by-step training library from basic to advanced, recordings of every live call, and a member chat that is active around the clock. Niko has studied markets for close to two decades, starting with formal stock market training long before crypto futures existed, and the curriculum follows how he learned: structure first, then repetition.

  • Crypto Renegades started about five years ago as Niko and Chad trading together on a two-person Zoom call. Since then more than 2,000 people have gone through the mastermind, more than 7,000 have joined the free Facebook group, and many more have followed the free trainings, live sessions and our scam prevention guide.

  • No. We never manage positions or capital on your behalf, and we will never ask you to send us crypto. You keep full control of your own accounts and make your own decisions.

  • No. We provide general education. We do not provide individualized financial, investment, legal or tax advice. When instructors share their own positions and reasoning inside the community, it is for teaching, and every member makes their own decisions.

  • Stop the conversation and do not send money or crypto. We never message people first with investment offers, and we never ask for keys, passwords or deposits. Report the account through our contact page and we will confirm whether it is ours.

  • Our business address is 40946 US Highway 19 North, Tarpon Springs, Florida 34689. The program runs online, so members join the live sessions and the community from wherever they are.

The fit call

  • It is a 30-minute conversation with our team. We review your experience, the time you can commit each week, what you want to learn, the capital you can keep separate from living expenses and emergency savings, and whether the required platforms are available where you live. You leave with a straight answer on fit and, if it is a fit, a clear picture of the program options and what participation requires.

  • The call is free. If the program fits, we explain the membership options and terms so you can make an informed decision. If it does not fit, we tell you. There is no pressure to enroll either way.

Still have a question? Ask it on the call.

The fit call is where every question gets a straight answer, including the ones about price and terms.
