Case study · Randy, Property maintenance business owner and caregiver

Randy watched crypto for years. A background check and a patient start got him moving.

Randy runs a property maintenance business and cares for his mother. He followed Bitcoin for years without knowing where to begin, then lost money to a program that asked for a $50,000 investment and only answered by email. He researched the founders before joining, learns by doing, and has one piece of advice: be patient with yourself.

Where he started

Randy runs a small property maintenance business (snow removal, pressure washing and the like) and is a caregiver for his mother. The physical work gets harder with age, and he wanted to build a skill that does not depend on it. He had followed Bitcoin since the early days, even tracking positions on paper, but never knew which platforms or wallets to use.

What did not work

He bought some crypto on Coinbase and held it without a plan. He then paid another company that wanted clients to invest $50,000 and only communicated by email, and he got nowhere with it. A stock trading program came next, where information overload left him frozen. Through all of it, he wanted to stay with crypto and stay in control of his own money.

Why he joined

He did his homework first. Randy ran background checks on Niko and Chad before joining, partly because scammers impersonate the founders online, and it took him a while to be sure. What convinced him was that the founders treat every member the same, whatever the size of their account.

Getting started

Onboarding with Bill was quick and thorough. As a hands-on learner, Randy found that watching the tutorials, pausing to take notes and asking questions (including the ones he worried were too basic) made the material stick. He likes seeing how each coach approaches the market differently, and taking what fits him from each.

A lesson learned

He found out firsthand that very short timeframes punish hesitation. Years of watching interest rate charts as a former mortgage broker now make more sense to him: he recognizes the patterns he used to see without understanding.

His advice

Take it one step at a time, and give yourself the patience you would give anyone learning a new language.
